I Am Hope Group Therapy Project

MindMatters Clinic are proud to partner with I Am Hope to complete a national scoping review of group therapy offerings relevant to rangitahi mental health in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Here we summarise the project, including what information we are collecting, why, and how it will be used.

The project in brief:

This is a scoping review of existing group talking therapy offerings to support the mental health of young people living in Aotearoa.

Purpose:

The I Am Hope Foundation appreciate the profound potential impact of group talking therapy to support young people’s mental health and would like to understand existing groups being provided in New Zealand communities. This will inform future decision making about the Foundation potentially supporting group therapy in addition to individual therapy.

I Am Hope have partnered with MindMatters Clinic to complete a scoping review of group therapy programme offerings across New Zealand relevant to young people’s mental health. This review includes collating registrations of interest from group therapy providers. I Am Hope may contact these providers about future opportunities.

Registrations will close at 5pm on the 12th September.

The review will be completed at the end of September 2024 and a white paper published before the end of the year summarising key findings and recommendations.

Data and Privacy:

Details of registered interested providers, such as contact details, will be kept strictly private and confidential in accordance with our privacy policies. The white paper will only include aggregated information such as the number of providers across different regions of New Zealand and what areas of mental health current groups support.
