Christina Emery
Counsellor
BCouns, MNZAC
Christina (she/her) is an exceptional counsellor at MindMatters Clinic specialising in neurodiversity and LGBTTQIA+ wellbeing. A proud ADHDer and member of the Rainbow community, Christina is an engaging facilitator and supportive therapist, drawing from her lived experience and qualifications as a counsellor to uplift those she works with.

Before qualifying as a counsellor, Christina was a radio broadcaster for nearly fifteen years across Aotearoa and Queensland, Australia. She also founded Pride Whanganui, creating one of the most Rainbow-inclusive communities in Aotearoa, including establishing a gender-affirming clinic featured in New Zealand Doctor magazine.
Christina's approach is open and supportive. Outside of her mahi (work) Christina is considering a random life goal: To climb a mountain ... she just has to decide which one, where and when! Christina is based in Whanganui.
