Louise (she/her/ia) has worked with major national and international organisations across Aotearoa New Zealand. As Founder and CEO of MindMatters, she leads a team of clinical psychologists who share her passion for delivering gold-standard workplace wellbeing and neurodiversity support. Louise openly shares her own lived experience of mental illness and being late-diagnosed AuDHD (autism and ADHD).
Louise assesses adults for ADHD, autism and AuDHD (combined autism and ADHD). She is especially experienced in working with high-masking individuals, those who present with less 'obvious' traits, or who may have spent years thinking they were simply anxious, overwhelmed, or 'difficult'. Louise draws on two decades of sector experience, including in hospital and community mental health settings, national neurosurgical programmes, and clinical leadership positions.
Outside of her clinical practice, Louise leads MindMatters Clinic's workplace mental health and neurodiversity training and consultation for workplace wellbeing projects. Having featured in national media, including The New Zealand Herald, Radio New Zealand (RNZ), and Mindfood Magazine, Louise facilitates workshops on the topics of mental health, neurodiversity, and health technology. She is a passionate and engaging facilitator, with a talent for translating complex concepts and making them accessible to all kinds of audiences.
Driven by values of care, clinical excellence and personal integrity, Louise is published in the International Journal of Wellbeing, the International Journal of Mental Health and Addiction, and the Mayo Clinic Proceedings: Digital Health. Louise continues to work on research projects in collaboration with Massey University and the University of Melbourne.
Louise is based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. When she isn’t visiting a workplace or learning about the latest research, she loves introverting at home with her partner and two pooches (ask her about “Trashy Tuesdays”), watching silly cartoons, or cooking veggie food from scratch.
