Natasha was amazing at gently, kindly, and respectfully taking me on this journey.  Really professional.  Thanks Natasha.

Kelly, Assessment Client

She was concise yet complete, time efficient yet a fantastic listener, and checked in with me throughout the process, and when things got emotional she met me with the energy and care I needed. Excellent experience.

Dr Natasha Amarasekara

Clinical Psychologist

MSc, DClinPsych, MNZCCP, MNZPS, MEDANZ

Natasha (she/her) is an exceptional Clinical Psychologist on our team, specialising in adult neurodivergence, eating disorders, and the ways lifestyle behaviours can influence wellbeing.

Natasha assesses adults for ADHD, autism, and AuDHD (combined autism and ADHD) and has a particular interest in the relationship between neurodivergence, eating, body image, sleep and lifestyle. These areas can often be closely intertwined with undiagnosed neurodivergence, yet may be overlooked when someone is seeking support. Natasha also runs workshops on her areas of expertise.

Natasha draws on experience across public, NGO and private sectors, including forensic psychology, addiction, child and adolescent services, and specialist eating disorder clinics. This broad clinical experience gives her a well-rounded perspective when working with adults experiencing overlapping challenges.

Natasha has published internationally in Frontiers in Psychology, with her research investigating how lifestyle behaviours, including sleep, exercise and diet, relate to mental and physical wellbeing. She was also selected as Valedictorian at Massey University in recognition of her academic achievements.

Natasha provides care defined by excellence and compassion. Her warm and clear approach aims to empower people to develop greater self-awareness and practical skills, while feeling understood and supported.

Outside of her mahi (work), Natasha can be found slowing down through yin yoga or exploring cuisine and culture with her husband, especially through travel. Natasha is based in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

Natasha can offer in-person appointments on special request in Mount Albert, Auckland.
