Dr Vanessa Beavan

Consultant Clinical Psychologist

DClinPsych, MNZCCP

Vanessa (she/her) is a highly regarded clinician offering supportive professional supervision to leaders, as well as short-term psychological intervention for employees experiencing wellbeing challenges. 

 

Vanessa has been featured in the New Zealand Herald as an expert on working with those experiencing severe unwellness. She has also contributed to book chapters and published multiple international journal papers on topics such as gender and mental health, and people's lived experience of recovery. Vanessa has taught at Universities in Australia and New Zealand, including teaching postgraduate clinical psychology at the Australian College of Applied Psychology and in the postgraduate psychology programme at Waikato University.

 

Vanessa’s style is warm and person-centred. Drawing on her experience in public and private mental health settings, she tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of organisations and individuals.

Outside of her mahi (work), Vanessa enjoys trips in the great outdoors with her whānau. Vanessa is based in Kemureti Cambridge, Waikato.
